For you Zumba...
You know how I went on and on about excuses versus reasons not to stick to my healthy routines? I quoted a line about how "if it is important to you, you'll find a way, if it isn't, you'll find an excuse." Well this morning is a shining example of this. Today's goal is to get to Zumba tonight. On Monday I got caught with a project that was due and I wasn't done so I was forced to skip Zumba. Today, I got up early, finished my paper, and decided to get this blog in before the day has a chance to monopolize my time.
Next week I think I can start walking again. I could have started this week because so much of the snow has gone in such a short about of time but the rain kept me inside yesterday and there is a fresh sheet of snow on my deck so I think its safe to say that Zumba is far more preferable than playing in the snow.
I also need to do some grocery shopping at some point today because I don't have anything healthy to eat for breakfast or for food throughout the day. I've also gone on and on and on about how planning is the most important part of sticking to my routine but when it came to last weekend I thought I would be totally motivated to do all the planning for this week and next when I finally had some time off. Nope! I avoided it like the plague because having some time to kick back was just too appealing.
The next big thing I need to work on is my food intake on the weekends. When I come off a few hard weeks I tend to want to "treat" myself with some drinks, junk food, and meals that don't require me to do anything but put it on a plate. This is a very very dangerous thing to do because I run the risk of doing so well throughout the week and then packing on everything I lost once the weekend hits.
For now I've got to go get my butt in gear because I am going to that zumba class tonight and I am going to shake it like you ain't nevah seen before!
